Well performed in Working, Hack, Led and Futurity classes at National and Royal levels. Volant was shown extensively with much success until 4 years of age when he was retired to stud. Stockmans Stud purchased him in 2002 and put him back into work, after success at some local shows he has done several seasons as a whip’s horse with the Hume Hunt. Ridden by 3 different whips he was an outstanding horse jumping wire when necessary and behaving impeccably when asked to lead the huntsmans mount which was also a stallion.
